This partner package from BBQ Buoys and Shiraz&Co Tours combines a selection of Adelaide's most boutique and unique experiences: 

Your Shiraz&Co chauffeur takes you to the picturesque Riverbank where you start the day with a relaxing 2hrs river Torrens cruise while enjoying an amazing breakfast grazer. 


After your cruise you'll continue the day on a scenic tour to the Adelaide Hills. You'll enjoy a selection of fine wines, cheese, chocolates or crafted beers from local produce before your chauffeur takes you back to your collection point. A day of South Australian delights to remember!


Included in BBQ Buoys cruise:

  • Use of the BBQ Buoy for a 2 hrs session (together with other tour members)
  • Breakfast platter (gf, vegetarian or nuts free option available on request - please specify at time of booking)
  • $20 drinks voucher for consumption on the Buoy (opened bottles must remain on board after cruise, no cash for unused voucher credit) + a surprise from Shiraz$Co
  • Bluetooth speakers, esky, ice, cutlery and plates
  • Table top (BBQ grill option not available in this package)

Not included in BBQ Buoys cruise:

  • Drinks (other than spring water and orders exceeding the included $20)
  • You can purchase drinks on the day - preorder not required in this package
  • We’re sorry you can’t BYO alcohol and soft drinks, it’s a licencing thing

Where to find BBQ Buoys?

  • On Pinky Flat, a short walk across the footbridge only minutes away from Casino, Convention Centre and Adelaide Oval. Your chauffeur (if this optional extra is booked) will take you to the launch area and explain you how to find us
  • During events like Fringe/Royal Croquet Club mid Feb - mid Mar, NYE, Australia Day and others access to the park maybe restricted. Please check the event page of the City of Adelaide for more details or confirm with your host access to the site if you have any mobility concerns 

Suggested itinerary: 

  • 8.30am onwards: Collection from CBD or Glenelg accommodation and travel to the City and/or tour around the picturesque Adelaide Parklands to get a perspective of the City of Churches, as we make our way to the Riverbank Precinct in the heart of the city, the cultural hub
  • 9.15am: Arrive at Pinky Flat on the Banks of the historic River Torrens, adjacent the impressive Festival and Convention Centre, Casino and iconic Adelaide Oval, where we board
    one of the unique BBQ BUOYS for a Breakfast cruise
  • 9.30am: Spend the next 2 hours enjoying breakfast on the Torrens, between the old Weir and Adelaide Zoo, while sharing in a Breakfast Platter on board.
  • 11.45am: Depart Pinky Flat and continue our tour of Adelaide as we make our way through the prestigious Eastern Suburbs on our way to the picturesque Adelaide Hills to enjoy the rest of the day trying the local food, wine, chocolate and beer.
  • 12.15pm: Taste local artisan cheeses made from fresh Adelaide Hills milk at Udder Delights in the historic 1839 German settlement, Hahndorf. Wander the streets and indulge in a bit of retail therapy
  • 1.00pm: Settle into The Haus Bistro for the included shared Chef's Choice luncheon (drinks at own cost), meet the locals and embrace the village atmosphere
  • 2.00pm: Try a few of the local artisan Craft Beer brews at Swell Brewing (at own cost) or explore more of the galleries and boutiques
  • 3.00pm: Travel through our premium cool climate wine region to O’Leary Walker Wines in the historic township of Oakbank, the home of our Easter Racing carnival, where we
    taste their premium regional wines at their rustic Cellar Door
  • 4.00pm: We continue to the Hills town of Stirling where we drop in at the multi Award Winning Red Cacao Café for a tea, coffee or hot chocolate and sample some of their hand-crafted
    truffle chocolates to finish off the day (excluding Tuesdays where we stop off at The Organic Café for coffee, tea, and a muffin)
  • from 5.30pm: Return to collection point

FAQs and Terms and Conditions: 

  • Minimum age to hire and drive a BBQ Buoy is 21 years / you can participate in the tour from 18 yrs but you won't be able to be the nominated skipper of the boat
  • On the day your group will nominate one group member as the skipper and driver of the boat
  • 1x car licence valid in Australia required per booking party / You don’t need a boat licence but if you have one it will be accepted, too!
  • After sunset the operating area is limited to the river section between our station and  King William Street bridge
  • A credit card surcharge of 3% may apply for parts of the booking
  • To book this package you will make 2 bookings: One booking for the Buoys cruise and a second booking for the tour and transport component (The indicated price is the sum of your 2 bookings excluding credit card payment fees)
  • If, due to the weather conditions we are not able to operate the BBQ Buoys (please note that rain is not per se a reason to cancel the booking - pls refer to our T&Cs for details) you will receive a full refund for the BBQ Buoys component of the tour. The chauffeured tour component can still take part and cancellation or other arrangements are subject to discussion with Shiraz&Co.

  • 48 hours notice for bookings to allow for checking availability and confirm as we need to check and make lunch and winery bookings
