Not included:

  • If required please add further drinks in the next booking step or on the day
  • You can make package changes subject to availability on the function day (e.g. swap a bottle of wine for beers or ciders)
  • We’re sorry you can’t BYO alcohol and soft drinks other than water, it’s a licensing thing


FAQs and Terms and Conditions: 

  • Minimum age to hire and drive a BBQ Buoy is 21 years  
  • Car licence required and must be presented on the function date
  • You don’t need a boat licence!
  • At the day of travel we take a $100 security deposit which you receive back after your trip*
  • After sunset the operating area is limited to the river section between King William Street bridge and  weir
  • Public Holidays and special events surcharge min 10% or as displayed where applicable


Cancellation policy: 

  • Reschedule free of charge >14 days prior to function date (<14 days 100% reschedule fee)
  • Cancellation free of charge >30 days prior to function date (30 days 100% cancellation fee)
  • BAD weather/unsafe to operate Strong wind, heavy rain, thunderstorm, temperatures above 38 degree celsius: 1 day before function date BBQ Buoys informs all bookings about option a) reschedule to a new time slot of the same price category or b) cancel the booking from your side and receive 50% refund of hire fee (drinks will always be refunded in full). Check our optional extra "Good Weather Guarantee" to receive 100% refund for option "b)"
  • GOOD weather: all other weather conditions that allow us to operate (e.g. light rain, light wind, grey sky, temperatures below 38 degrees celsius)
